Cat shows are events organized by Cat Associations during which cats take part to beauty competitions. Cat owners have to present their cats in the best possible conditions to International Judges, who will issue a detailed report based on the adherence of the cat to international breed standards. Beyond to the single competition taking place in the one-day show, judge reports are necessary for cats to obtain merit titles, like Champion, International Champion, Grand International Champion and Supreme Champion.
We think that cat shows are a very useful instrument for a breeder to have judgements from accredited and prepared judges and also a good chance of talking and exchanging opinions with the other breeders. Shows are also a very nice way to spend a day among beautiful cats and cat lovers. For this reason, from time to time, we will attend some cat shows, despite this would not happen very often, because every show is a bit stressing for cats and we prefer to attend few near and well selected shows.
